It is so important to go back and speak with your younger self, no matter how old you were. Can you imagine what your younger self has to say to you? This is where we get to re-parent our inner child. Before we are 7 years old, we subconsciously form beliefs about how we should behave and what we must do to feel loved and survive in our immediate surroundings. These immature beliefs can linger with us into adulthood, governing our lives and relationships. The inner child houses most of our beliefs about ourselves and is where a lot of our emotional wounds originate. ​ Despite growing up, the inner child continues to reside within us, influencing our mental health and contributing to self-destructive patterns and cycles. Therefore, incorporating inner child work into your healing journey is vital. Not many people are aware, but we can carry trauma in the cells of our body, even if we have dealt with it in our head. About Fluid Minds with Marcia & Olivia We are Marcia and Olivia and we met on our spiritual pathway in 2017, it was the start of a beautiful friendship. Igniting our relationship, we became business partners as well as life partners. After working on ourselves and having a shared passion to help others, Fluid Minds was born. ​ Over the years, we have become qualified in a number of modalities, however, we specialise in EFT & Matrix Re-imprinting (MR). After working with many clients, we have seen first hand how people can struggle day to day with physical illness, diseases and mental health. The beauty of EFT & MR is that it can give people a coping mechanism to deal with emotional difficulties and help with symptoms of illness and disease. They can enable people to look back at past traumatic events easier than before with the aim of discharging the energy that's held in the cells of our body. This can also help with manifesting, finding the blocks that stop us from attracting abundance and wealth. ​ We truly believe that our current mental health system is so outdated, depleted and overcrowded that it has contributed to the crisis we have today. We are not taught how to cope or deal with our emotions growing up or in school which only leaves one option, your GP or other NHS services which are grossly overstretched. Although NHS staff are medically trained, they are not trained on an energetic therapy level to be able to understand how emotional health can impact on physical health; the same as we are not medically trained, but we are trained in the emotional impact of illness, disease and trauma and can help educate you too by finding the root cause. In some cases, depression for example, may need medication, but we see a lot of people who have been put on tablets as a 'go to' answer for dealing with it. In our opinion, this only masks the problem and suppresses the feelings because we don't know how else to cope. When we don't have a healthy coping mechanism in place, we go back to old habits like drinking, smoking, eating, self-harm and taking drugs to name but a few. We even see people who have paid thousands to go through rehab to just end up relapsing within the first year, why? because whatever caused it in the first place was not shifted at a cellular level. Talking therapies, like counselling, can help to some degree but this only allows the client to get things off their chest and not shift them from their body for ever, clients report that they feel like they are just 'going around in circles.' This is why we are passionate about what we do, to let people know there is another way and they are not crazy, broken, dismissed, unseen or unheard. We are a private alternative Emotional Therapy business for both Adults and Children, in some cases, pets too. We have helped many clients change their mindset and to heal deep seated emotional trauma and programmes that have been keeping them in flight, fight, freeze and fawn responses. Our therapies enable the client to go back and rescue fragmented aspects of themselves that may be stuck in an earlier time. If left unhealed, these traumas can manifest as triggers, childlike behaviours, moods and dissociation from their own mind and body. The crystals and gemstones are placed on specific energy points on the body or around the body to release negative energy, congestion and emotional tension allowing the person to heal and come back into balance. ​ About Crystal Healing Crystals take millions of years to form underground. The way crystals are formed (by repeating chemical structures) is believed by some to imbue them with the ability to hold energies. There are different types of crystals, depending on the type of mineral it’s made from and the conditions it grows in. These differences are thought to change the effect the crystal has energetically. ​ Crystal healing is a holistic and natural therapy that taps into the energetic power of crystals and how they affect the body and mind. A crystal therapist will place healing crystals on or around a client to help unblock, focus and direct energy. ​ Crystal healing is an energy-based system. This means it is based on the belief that we are all made up of different energies and that when this becomes stagnant, unbalanced or blocked, it can cause illness. The premise is that crystals help unblock, balance and direct energy where it is most needed, gently supporting the body to heal in a therapeutic way. ​ Different types of crystals are thought to have different properties and energies. Just holding and being near these crystals is therefore thought to affect our own energies on a physical, spiritual and emotional level. ​ What to expect in a crystal healing session The idea of crystal healing may sound far fetched, but if you are open and willing to explore the world of energy healing, this is a wonderful place to start. It can also help to know what to expect before you book a session. Your session will begin with a consultation. This is when you speak with your crystal therapist about what’s brought you to them and what you’re hoping for. You will be made comfortable and asked to lie down (fully clothed) on a massage bed. When you are relaxed with your eyes closed, your therapist will begin placing crystals on and around your body. Sometimes the therapist will use a dowsing pendulum to help them determine where the crystals should go or to clear your chakras. The crystals will be left in place for a certain amount of time (this will depend on your circumstances but can be anywhere from 20 minutes to over an hour). During this time you are encouraged to breathe deeply and simply relax. Your therapist may add or remove crystals during the session. Some people report feeling sensations (a warmth or tingle) while others feel nothing. Don’t worry if you don’t feel anything, this doesn’t mean your energies haven’t been affected. When the session is over, your therapist will remove the crystals and you’ll be encouraged to ground yourself in your body by becoming aware of your surroundings and physical sensations.
