Just holding and being near these crystals is therefore thought to affect our own energies on a physical, spiritual and emotional level. ​ What to expect in a crystal healing session The idea of crystal healing may sound far fetched, but if you are open and willing to explore the world of energy healing, this is a wonderful place to start. It can also help to know what to expect before you book a session. Your session will begin with a consultation. This is when you speak with your crystal therapist about what’s brought you to them and what you’re hoping for. You will be made comfortable and asked to lie down (fully clothed) on a massage bed. When you are relaxed with your eyes closed, your therapist will begin placing crystals on and around your body. Sometimes the therapist will use a dowsing pendulum to help them determine where the crystals should go or to clear your chakras. The crystals will be left in place for a certain amount of time (this will depend on your circumstances but can be anywhere from 20 minutes to over an hour). During this time you are encouraged to breathe deeply and simply relax. Your therapist may add or remove crystals during the session. Some people report feeling sensations (a warmth or tingle) while others feel nothing. Don’t worry if you don’t feel anything, this doesn’t mean your energies haven’t been affected. When the session is over, your therapist will remove the crystals and you’ll be encouraged to ground yourself in your body by becoming aware of your surroundings and physical sensations. Some people say they feel a difference in themselves immediately, for others it takes longer for the healing to take effect. You may be recommended a number of treatments and often people choose to have ongoing treatments to support their overall health. As the healing takes place, you may experience an energetic detox, when negative energy quickly leaves your body. This can lead to difficult emotions being brought to the surface, so it’s important to ensure that you take it easy and drink plenty of water throughout that day. ​ Crystal Healing Benefits Crystal healing is a complementary and natural approach, meaning it can be used alongside traditional medicine and has no negative side-effects. The benefits of crystal healing are varied and take place on several different levels. Perhaps the most common benefit reported is the deep relaxation that takes place during a session. About Marcia In February 2017, a fter a long 17 year break, I stepped back onto my spiritual pathway in my early 40’s because trauma was controlling my every move. I was living in complete fear and knew deep down there was more to life than the way I was living, being stuck in my home controlling everything in my environment, I felt like I was going crazy. After arriving here on Earth in the 70's, already having lost my twin brother in the womb, set me up for a life of consistent traumatic events. Little did I know at the time, that trauma attracts trauma, and I certainly became a magnet for it! ​ Self sabotage consumed me and I took myself along a path of self-harm and destruction, I honestly didn't care about myself or whether I woke up the next day. I went on to live a life of drugs and partying as a DJ for 20 years, with that, attracting negative energies like entities where I was spiritual and open to other realms; the catalyst to all of this being my parent's extremely damaging divorce when I was a mere 14 years of age; it truly rocked my world and pulled away any possibility of being able to live a 'normal' life. ​ Looking back now at the many traumas in my life and not knowing how to treat my symptoms for so long took its toll. I was dealing with what we would describe now as cPTSD with a dysregulated nervous system and a string of failed relationships and businesses to go with it. I literally couldn't function anymore, I needed to do something, and fast, or I feared I would be stuck forever. ​ After experiencing what I now know to be the dark night of the soul and doing the work on myself has enabled me to look at ALL aspects of myself, to include my inner child and shadow side. I t didn't take long until I become good friends with both, which has helped to restore balance and calm my nervous system. ​ It definitely wasn't an overnight fix and it was very uncomfortable at times however, I always knew that there was light at the end of the tunnel which kept me going. The conventional methods of society were not going to help me through this, instead I became qualified in the modalities that are on offer today. Being able to help others in the way I needed help is why I do this. My body was shaking from releasing trauma for the first 3 years of my healing journey, I thought I was retraumatising myself until I became trauma informed and more educated in this field. ​ I will never be the same again, in a good way of course. I gave up drugs and my party lifestyle when I was around 35, that's 12 years ago. I left all my so called friends behind and never looked back, it wasn't easy hanging up my DJ hat but it had to be done. I now have a safe and stable loving relationship with the love of my life and a thriving healing business. I am also a property landlady of 4 years and looking to expand my portfolio in 2024. Life is good, but I couldn't have done it without looking inwards to change what was going on. I now work very deeply with others, finding the deep-rooted issues that have become our beliefs from childhood, these are programs we walk around with which plays out in our everyday lives. About Olivia Having a direct connection to the universe, creator and the angels as a child, I always knew there was more to life as we see it and many adults would say that I was wise beyond my years. Remembering the conditioning from people around me to conform, wake up to the world, I always saw the world beyond myself as a scary place to be. My caregivers were not safe. school filled me with dread, children in the local area were tormentors but thankfully my grandma, God and the angels were my friends. ​ From a very early age I'd lived in flight or fright and my coping mechanism was one of fawning, being brought up in a completely hostile environment filled with physical abuse, drugs, alcohol and threats towards my life, I became afraid of my own shadow. On the surface I was a very confident and carefree child, I'd learned to adapt to my environment and make it work for me. It wasn't until my early teens when I moved from my home to Kent, that I really understood how awful my parents were and had been throughout my childhood and no one else was in a position to see it. I felt lost, liberated, alone and alive when they finally moved abroad when I was 16, leaving me here to fend for myself; I honestly did not care if I lived or died and from my perspective, no one else cared either. ​ Having entered a relationship at 15 years old, I thought I knew it all and could live without the love and care of any family member. Unfortunately it was not long until the cheating, violent outbursts and abandonment prevailed. Loneliness was bitter and was something that was prevalent until we divorced some 32 years later. Not only having myself to think of but now a mum of 4, I decided to start to heal the wounds of my past as they were most certainly restricting any happiness and enjoyment I was allowing myself to feel and that was affecting my children. ​ Qualifying as a Primary School Teacher some 20 years ago gave me the financial independence that I needed to be able to raise my children as I was left literally holding the babies, but the stress and expectations of the job really took it's toll and I began realising that I needed to call on something deep within to come and save me; little did I know that it was myself that would be healing all of the lost and broken parts of me that I didn't even realise were lost of broken. ​ I embarked on remembering who I used to be as a child, before the world got in the way, in 2017. It was during this period that the light once again began to shine into my soul and with it brought the most beautiful gift the universe could ever offer me, the beautiful love of my life, Marcia. After being so lost and lonely for a whole of a lifetime, I was seen, held and heard like never in my life before. ​ The damage of the past literally turns you into who you become, even with the wisest head in the world and acknowledging all of the pain, it is almost impossible to live a happy life unless all of the past trauma has been resolved and work on yourself is in progress. Matrix reimprinting saved my life and the work I have done has brought me to a space where I am so happy to be me, to be alive and look forward to every new day. ​ I have seen so many people affected emotionally and physically by their pasts who have absolutely no idea about healing the emotional to heal the physical and actually facilitate so much space and positivity in your adult life, this work is transformational and I want to share and shout out to the world that you really do not need to suffer and live in pain just because of what people have put us though. About Fluid Minds with Marcia & Olivia We are Marcia and Olivia an d we met on our spiritual pathway in 2017, it was the start of a beautiful friendship. Igniting our relationship, we became business partners as well as life partners. After working on ourselves and having a shared passion to help others, Fluid Minds was born. ​ We truly believe that our current mental health system is broken. We are not taught how to cope or deal with our emotions growing up nor was it taught in school which only leaves one option when we find ourselves needing help, your GP! who is not trained in energy work. If we feel depressed, medically speaking, the only solution we have is to be prescribed tablets. Now don't get us wrong, there is a time and place for medical treatments, however, we're talking about the thousands of people who may have been misdiagnosed from having traumatic experiences which have been left unhealed. ​ In some cases, antidepressants only mask the problem and suppress the feelings because we don't know how else to cope. When we don't have a healthy coping mechanism in place, we go back to old habits like drinking, smoking, eating, self-harm and taking drugs to name but a few. Eventually, we will have to come back off those tablets, by which time people are addicted or too scared to come off them. ​ Talking therapies, like counselling, can help to some degree but this only allows the client to get things off their chest and not shift them from their body, clients report they just feel like they're 'going around in circles.' People who have paid thousands to go to rehab end up relapsing within the first year, why? because whatever caused the problem in the first place was not shifted at a cellular level. This is why we are so passionate about what we do, to let people know there is another way and they are not crazy, broken, dismissed, unseen or unheard. We are a private Alternative Holistic Therapy business for both Adults and Children, in some cases, pets too. Although we are qualified in a number of modalities, we specialise in Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) and Matrix Reimprinting (MR). The beauty of EFT & MR is that it can give people a coping mechanism to deal with emotional difficulties and help with symptoms of mental health, illness and disease. We have helped many clients heal deep seated emotional trauma and programmes that have been keeping them stuck in flight, fight, freeze and fawn responses. Our therapies enable the client to go back and rescue fragmented aspects of themselves that may be stuck in an earlier time. If left unhealed, these traumas can manifest as triggers, childlike behaviours, moods and even dissociation from their own mind and body.
